2. Lavender can be used to help you relax. Its luxurious smell has given it the boon of being a unique herb for stress relief. Many people use it in soaps, perfumes, and room sprays as it lulls the senses into a soft state of relaxation. Lavender is a good herb for stress relief because it works internally to relax you and externally to sooth you with its fragrance.
3. Kava Kava can cause a reaction similar to that of alcohol. It comes from the root of a plant from the South Pacific… Kava Kava is beneficial as an herb for stress relief because it helps with anxiety as well as allows muscle and tension relaxation that leads to better sleep.
4. St. John’s Wort is a very good treatment for anxiety and depression. It has been used extensively in Europe. There studies have been done to show its benefits are comparable in treatment to some of the prescription medicines. They do not advise its use for severe conditions and it is recommended to see a doctor before self medicating.
