3. Kava Kava can cause a reaction similar to that of alcohol. It comes from the root of a plant from the South Pacific… Kava Kava is beneficial as an herb for stress relief because it helps with anxiety as well as allows muscle and tension relaxation that leads to better sleep.

4. St. John’s Wort is a very good treatment for anxiety and depression. It has been used extensively in Europe. There studies have been done to show its benefits are comparable in treatment to some of the prescription medicines. They do not advise its use for severe conditions and it is recommended to see a doctor before self medicating.
